The meaning of life?

I started my training job a couple of months ago and I find it almost impossible to balance work life with 'actual' life. It is so easy to get caught up in the rat race of life that you begin to forget your purpose and things that are worthless start to matter to you while the reality of life starts to warp and disintegrate.

I came across this amazing video on YouTube today, it's based entirely on the Quran which is what makes it so beautiful. I really needed to see something like this so I hope someone else benefits.

Question to full-time workers - how do you balance your life so that your religion, personal relationships AND sanity are not compromised?! Is this even possible?

It is Possible to do. I used to work full time 10 hours a day 5/6 days a week. And It is all about organisation skills. preparation is key. If you are able to, ensure the weeks meals are made in advance or at least partly in advance. And have them stored in the Fridge or freezer. Use your time productively, every minute counts. Those days you have off be sure to do all your house work and all the socializing you can do. And give a few hours to Quran and Islam and Allah. Use your daily commute to read Quran, Hadith and Islamic books, even storing some lectures on your fone or Quran mp3. It takes time to get into the swing of things, I know it was hard for me. But it makes you get organised and efficient with your time.

Salwa: Thanks, sounds like you're pretty good at keeping organised mA. I hope I fall into a routine soon. About your other comment on the abaya post, I was talking more about the face covering than the actual overhead abaya. I don't mean to offend anyone!
